Mensa is an international society with only one requirement for membership: a score in the top 2 percent on a qualifying standardized IQ test.
GNYM is the Local Group for those individuals who meet the above criteria and live within the greater New York area: The Five Boroughs of New York City, Westchester, Rockland, and Putnam Counties, along with Long Island.
